Specifically, what happens when Chiron, the wounded healer, aligns with the north node in Aries? In this blog post, I’ll share my thoughts on the astrology transit of Chiron conjunct the north node in Aries and uncover the deeper meaning of Chiron. This celestial phenomenon can ignite self-discovery, challenge your beliefs, and guide you toward your true life purpose.
Understanding Chiron & The North Node
Chiron is a celestial body in astrology that symbolizes the “wounded healer.”
It represents the areas of our lives where we have experienced deep pain and trauma, but also holds the potential for profound healing and transformation.
The North Node, on the other hand, is not a physical body but a mathematical point in the birth chart.
It represents our life's purpose, the direction in which we are meant to evolve and grow. The North Node provides us with clues about our soul's journey and the lessons we need to learn in this lifetime.
When Chiron and the North Node come together in a conjunction, it signifies a significant astrological transit that can have a profound impact on our personal healing and life direction. This alignment brings forth the opportunity to address our deepest wounds and harness the power of our life purpose.
During this transit, Chiron's energy merges with the influence of the North Node, creating a potent catalyst for transformation and growth. The wounded healer's wisdom and insight align with the path our soul is yearning to follow. It creates a compelling invitation to embark on a journey of self-discovery, healing, and fulfilling our true life purpose.

The Chiron in Aries conjunct North Node Message for the Collective
Healing the wound of radical authenticity and self-acceptance is my take on it. And by “radical” I mean the deepest integrity of living an aligned life through being true to yourself—which means standing up for your values, standing up for yourself, willing to go it alone if need be rather than suffer the fakers, the liars, the takers, the doomsayers. Living this way is “radical” because so much in our world keeps us disconnected, numbed out, tired.
This transit is an opportunity to release the shame from old and entrenched narratives that said you had to conform to other people’s ideas of the ways you “should” live your life—or else you were ungrateful, idiotic, selfish, etc.
Release that south node in Libra bullshit of playing along to get along because you are, deep down, just a little bit scared of your own potential, your own brilliance—or perhaps also equally afraid of finally confronting the shame narrative (because yes, it can be painful to do so—and so many people run away from this type of painful self-examination and then keep giving their power away, wondering why they are miserable—but Chiron chickens come home to roost when you have your Chiron return around age 50-51, and then you will be given a test to see if you’ve learned what Master Chiron was trying to teach you all along).
With Chiron conjunct the North Node in Aries, it’s time for choosing yourself and the destiny that you alone can create for yourself—because we’re ultimately talking about the karmic journey your Soul is on. Every time you choose yourself from a position of living your life in integrity, you heal the wound of Chiron in Aries.
Healing, of course, requires awareness. With Chiron the healing comes with a hearty dose of stinging antiseptic; it smarts. And because that type of healing doesn’t always feel great, we often avoid it. But that is the approach we want to forgo because “what you resist, persists.”
Someone asked me over on my Facebook page, “So is Chiron like our Shadow?”
This is such a great question. I suppose Chiron's "wound" could be shadow material if it were not made conscious, but I suspect that many people are *very* conscious of the feelings Chiron brings out - but are people always conscious about the cognitive dissonance Chiron's discomfort might cause (acting against their own best interests, over-compensating for their perceived "flaw," etc.).
How Long Does the Transit Last?
Although Chiron conjunct the North Node in Aries was exact end of February 2024 into April 2024, we’ll be dealing with its energetic ripple effect until the next conjunction of Chiron and the North Node. By “ripple effect,” I mean the karmic implications of what we do or do not do, heal or do not heal, at this time. It’s all about using the energies, as I like to say. The next conjunction of Chiron and the North Node will not occur until November 17, 2038, at three degrees in the sign of Cancer.
Chiron conjunct the North Node is a fairly rare transit. The one previous to 2024 was on July 18, 2008 at 19 degrees Aquarius. You might want to look back at that time and see what themes were in play for you then based on which house Aquarius occupies in your natal chart. And you might want to look ahead to where three degrees Cancer shows up for you in your natal chart as a preview for bringing about a healing and new destiny in that area of your life—but we’ve still got time to get there, don’t we?
